About Michael
I am a baritone who loves all vocal music from Pop to Musical Theatre to Opera. I have sung all over the U.S. and Europe in Musicals and Operas, and I love sharing my joy of singing with my students. I hold a Master of Music degree in classical voice performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Opera Performance with Honors from Northwestern University.

Teaching Philosophy
I view our voice as the most powerful tool we have. From speaking to singing, our voice is what connects us with those around us. I take a holistic, dynamic, and singer-specific approach that is well grounded in the enduring bel canto technique to enable singers to access the full palette of expressive capabilities in their individual instrument.
I believe that singing should be simple, energizing, and fun. I do not believe in maxims, unproven dogma, or a one-size-fits-all approach. I have no interest in making you sound like anyone other than yourself at your age in your current body--your unique and honest sound is the greatest gift you have to offer the world!
Whether you are looking to be on Broadway, sing at the Met, improve the clarity and presence of your speaking voice, or just want to sound better in the shower, I can help you access the beauty and power within your own voice, and as you learn the many tools professional vocalists use, you will be free to sing in any style at any venue with confidence--and will have a blast doing it!
